In his weekly column published this week in the Pasadena Star-News, Daily News, San Gabriel Valley Tribune and Whittier Daily News, editor Larry Wilson celebrates a large government project (removing 1.7 million cubic yards of sediment from the Pasadena dam) being completed well ahead of time, well under budget and done well. His column points out that, for “one of the most hotly contested county-city-environmentalists fights in these parts in generations,” legal action led to the compromise and the positive end result this month.
