Maria “Malou” Reyes

Paralegal

Malou Reyes is a Paralegal with our Firm, where she focuses on administrative, environmental, and land use law. She has 12 years of experience supporting a land use department whose practice included a broad range of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) work. Their land use team ushered client projects through the CEQA process from due diligence, submittal of applications, preparation of environmental reports and analyses, through public hearings and final approval. In addition, she also performed ABC liquor licensing work and maintained over 300 licenses yearly for the firm’s largest client.

As a paralegal, her role was largely involved in conducting Municipal Code research and coordinating with architects, engineers and other experts involved in the preparation of due diligence and environmental documents. She also monitored and prepared the legal team for public hearings with a focus on ensuring the hearing documents were pertinent and accurate.

In addition to her CEQA experience, she has also worked with transactional documents related to commercial leases as well as corporate maintenance.

Malou has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with an ABA certificate from UCLA for paralegal studies.

She enjoys traveling, learning about new places, and experiencing local cuisine.
