Hind Baki

Paralegal

Hind Baki is a Paralegal with our Firm, where she focuses on administrative, environmental, and land use law. Prior to joining our Firm, she was a seasoned communications professional, with unique experience as both a former print/radio/TV journalist and a public relations consultant with previous management positions at the American Cancer Society and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Hind worked as a field producer at KTTV-Channel 11 News At Ten, a reporter at the Orange County Register and KPFK Radio, and as the Community News Editor at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.  She also served as writing tutor for student reporters and editors at UCLA’s daily campus newspaper, The Daily Bruin.

As one of 23 members of the Los Angeles County Civil Grand Jury (a citizens’ watchdog group convened for a year-long assignment to conduct investigations and issue reports to public agencies in the County that are then mandated to respond to each report’s recommendations), Hind chaired a committee taking a close look at better ways that food waste can be processed.

She is a trained Climate Reality Leader in a program developed by former Vice President Al Gore.

Hind is fluent in Arabic, and conversant in Spanish and French.  During a previous job assignment at a refugee resettlement agency in Los Angeles, she engaged and trained volunteers to help the Syrian, Iraqi, Afghan, and Central American families arriving in Los Angeles.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Arts-Journalism from California State University in Pomona, and a Spanish language certificate from Cemanahuac School in Mexico.

Hind’s favorite musical is Hamilton, and the song “One Last Time” always makes her cry.
