Shreyas Pingle

Paralegal and Case Manager

Shreyas Pingle is a Paralegal and Case Manager at our firm who specializes in environmental and land use law. Prior to joining the firm, Shreyas worked in various environmental and human rights organizations, with a focus on academic research, advocacy, and work with international organizations.

Shreyas began working for environmental groups in his sophomore year at University of Southern California, where he majored in international relations and economics. He has spent time as an Environmental Policy Analyst at the Earth Law Center, a nonprofit law firm and advocacy group, where he served as the point negotiator for the ELC at the United Nations during the secretariat-side drafting process of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. During his time there, he communicated with heads of state, foreign ambassadors, rights groups, and various international organizations to advocate for adopting a biocentric approach to conservation that respects Rights of Nature.

Shreyas has also worked as a researcher under Dr. Kristin Henrard, a world authority on the human rights of systematically discriminated minorities. Working out of Brussels, Belgium, Shreyas engaged in archival and court research that explored the development of a new legal theory of discrimination in the European Court of Human Rights. His time there, especially the intersections he observed between environmental and human rights issues, inspired him to begin his journey towards attending law school.

In his spare time, Shreyas enjoys hiking, going to the movies, taking interesting polaroids, and watching incredibly specific youtube video essays.
